I have so far only pastutirized horse manure with these boxes to grow oyster mushrooms. It worked perfect for the job. I will try the higher temperature sterilization at another time. Thanks.

This is one of the most important pieces of equipment in the serious grower’s arsenal. I‘ve come to use several of those instead of a large monotub; gives you the possibility to easily sterilize and colonize your substrate and if you still end up having contamination, it’s much easier to get rid of the bad one and still have a few good ones… Do don’t lay all your eggs in one basket! ;)

Used the 565 ml box and it works great. I've tried the 1000ml tall cilinder box from another shop, but I had problems with not enough oxygen reaching the bottom. So stay with the 565ml or go for the 1200ml one. Great product! Leave the lid a bit open with some aluminum foil in a corner when you are pressure cooking it to avoid deformation.
